Pyrenees dawn

We had spent a week in Spain, staying in a village right at the foot of the Pyrenees.

On our final day, we had to leave very early to make the lunchtime flight in Perpignan. It was the only time during the holiday I actually enjoyed the driving – simply because there was no-one else on the road. And I thought the Italians were crazy drivers.

Just as we came over the border into France, the sun burnt through the mist above us.
