A good enough illustration of why it’s best not to try and land a plane on a dual carriageway lined with big warehouses and trees, I think.
This happened yesterday, in the Treforest industrial estate just outside Cardiff. No one knows yet why the plane crashed, but incredibly the pilot and his wife escaped with just a few cuts and bruises.
Witnesses described the plane bouncing off a roof and a wall before flipping over and landing on its back between two cars. You can actually see a part of the plane on the end of the wall in the background. Nasty.
