A door familiar to generations of bell ringers at St Lawrence church in Napton.
St Lawrence’s is a lovely Midlands church, with warm yellow stone and a typically squat tower. The building dates back to the 12th Century, although it was rebuilt in the 13th and has been added to since.

I absolutely love this photo. The rich colors of golden brown and the random shapes of the stones brings to mind thoughts of fairy tale stories. Definitely a keeper.
Beautiful, Chris. The color is amazing. I wish I lived someplace where there were things built in the 12th century! Not a lot of building going on in Central Texas back in 1185.
Again, love the pic.
Thanks very much for the comments – this is definitely one of my favourites too.
