Daniel, who was vary Fraanch, led the wine tasting at Chilford Hall vineyard when we were there last weekend. It seems the British can now grow the grapes, but still need the French to run the fermenting bit (I’m generalising here).
Anyway, some of the wine was pretty good, and yes, I could taste the strawberries.
Another thumbs up for the f/1.4 lens, which excelled in the dim tasting room.

You make me want to take a class in photography so I can learn how to create something like this. I love how just he—but every part of him, his ear, his dimple, the reflection in the lens of his glasses, the folds of his shirt—is in crystal clear focus and nothing else is. A dummy assessment, I know; I suppose the take home message is that I love the image. Awesome work.
Hi Amy, thanks very much for the comment. No need for a class, just take lots of pictures!
Chris:
I know you mentioned somewhere back there, but which lens did you get that you mention here?
I’m getting a new lens for my D50 I’ve been looking at the 50mm f/1.4 and f/1.8.
Thanks.
Hi Martha, It’s a Nikon 50mm f/1.4 lens. Definitely recommended for portraits and indoor work.
