Scotland got its first taste of winter this week, which inspired me to dig this shot out of the archive.
It was taken on the second day of a trip to Torridon last February – the first day being spent lying in the van listening to the rain.
We had an amazing day traversing the Tolkeinesque horns of Ben Alligin through blizzards and the sort of wind-driven spindrift that blasts your stubble off. Just the thought of it makes me go all nostalgic for a long, cold day out in the hills in winter…
