Another shot from my trip to Orkney. The cliff is the same as the one in the background of my previous shot.

I spent ages at Yesnaby with my lens pointed in this direction trying to capture the sun highlighting the spray coming off the right-hand rock.

Finally a big wave coincided with the sun coming out. Of course I’d just lowered my camera – so I missed the high point of the spray – but I caught enough of it I think. And I like the way the shot has ended up looking a bit like a painting.
